We partnered with Manningham City Council to design the 2025 State of the City report - an important publication presenting research, statistics, and insights across key focus areas including health, liveability, environment, and the local economy. The aim was to create a document that was both visually engaging and functionally accessible for future use by the council’s internal teams.
The report needed to communicate complex data in a clear, visually engaging format while remaining aligned with council brand guidelines. It also had to be delivered as an editable Word document - retaining a high level of design polish while allowing the council’s content team to update data regularly without compromising layout integrity.
We designed the report using vibrant, on-brand colours and a clean, accessible layout that balances narrative with data-rich visual content. Key statistics and findings were brought to life through custom infographics and charts, improving readability and audience engagement. Once approved, we translated the design into a fully editable Microsoft Word template. The final template includes editable content fields and embedded Excel-linked charts, allowing the council team to update figures while maintaining the visual structure of the report.
