Creating a refined and elegant brand identity for Willow Creek Vineyard to reflect its shift towards cool-climate winemaking, extending the brand across wine labels and marketing collateral.
Nestled in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Willow Creek Vineyard has been producing premium wines since 1989, with a strong reputation for chardonnay, pinot noir, pinot gris, cabernet sauvignon, and sauvignon blanc. When winemaker Geraldine McFaul took over in 2009, the vineyard sought to refocus on a more elegant and refined winemaking style, moving away from its bolder cabernet offerings. To support this transition, Willow Creek needed a new brand identity and packaging design that captured the vineyard’s evolving philosophy.
The rebrand successfully positioned Willow Creek Vineyard as a leader in cool-climate winemaking, reinforcing its premium status in the industry. The elegant brand identity and high-end packaging resonated with wine enthusiasts, while the marketing materials and vineyard map enhanced the visitor experience at the cellar door, helping to share the Willow Creek story in a compelling and visually engaging way.
"Willow Creek Vineyard has had a long involvement with Microcosm since 2009, when we did a major rebrand. They have always been a pleasure to deal with – from the brief, their intuitive feel for what we were trying to achieve, and indeed, who we are, and their timely and always friendly execution on labels, outer packaging, gift boxes and website. We have since had some refinements they have done of the Willow Creek Vineyard brand, additional collateral for our cellar door and marketing purposes, plus projects for our related company, Jackalope Hotel."
