We were engaged by EnergyAustralia’s Embedded Networks team to design a responsive HTML digital bill for SEENE—a service tailored to customers within embedded energy networks. The brief was to create a clean, brand-aligned layout that adapts to varying customer scenarios and delivers a seamless experience across devices and email platforms.
The bill design needed to accommodate a modular content structure, where different sections could appear or be excluded based on the customer's specific billing details. The solution also had to strictly follow SEENE and EnergyAustralia brand guidelines, render consistently across email clients, and be built in standards-compliant HTML that could be reliably implemented by the internal development team.
We designed a fully responsive HTML billing layout that could flexibly support variable content modules while maintaining visual consistency. Our team developed a clear, accessible structure using best-practice HTML and inline styling to support diverse email environments. In addition to delivering annotated markup for implementation, we created a comprehensive style guide covering design rules, code usage, and layout behaviours to support future updates by the internal dev team.
