Australian Energy Council

A bold, future-focused brand identity

Challenge

Formed in 2016 through the merger of ESAA, ENA, and ERAA, the AEC represents an industry that’s constantly evolving with new technologies, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory shifts. They needed a modern, impactful brandmark that captured the critical role of energy suppliers, networks, and retailers—while also reflecting their commitment to innovation and cleaner energy solutions.

Result

  • Distinctive Brandmark
We designed a clean, simple, and instantly recognisable logo, featuring three glowing strokes forming the letter “E” for energy. Each stroke represents one of the three core sectors—suppliers, networks, and retailers—working together to power homes, businesses, and industries across Australia.
  • Symbolism of Sustainability
The curved strokes take inspiration from the spiral shape of an energy-efficient lightbulb, reinforcing the AEC’s focus on sustainability and the transition to cleaner energy.
  • Comprehensive Business Collateral
We developed a full suite of print and digital materials, including stationery, reports, presentations, and Microsoft Office templates, ensuring brand consistency across all communications.
  • Ongoing Creative Support
Over the past five years, we’ve continued to collaborate with the AEC, producing social media campaign visuals, animated promotional videos, and a variety of reports and publications to support their influence in the energy sector.

Outcome

With a strong, future-focused brand identity, the AEC now has a cohesive and professional presence that reflects its leadership in the Australian energy industry. The brandmark and collateral continue to support their mission, positioning the AEC as a key voice in energy policy, innovation, and sustainability.
