Gippsland Skies

Community engagement design for a landmark offshore wind project

We collaborated with the Gippsland Skies consortium to design a suite of community engagement materials for their proposed offshore wind farm in Bass Strait, Victoria. With the potential to generate 2.5 GW of renewable energy—enough to power 1.4 million Victorian homes—the project required clear, compelling communication to inform and engage the local community.

Challenge

During the feasibility phase, the project team needed high-quality graphic design support to create a range of public-facing materials. These assets had to effectively convey the benefits, impacts, and opportunities of the wind farm while maintaining brand consistency across print, digital, and exhibition formats.

Result

  • Community engagement materials
We designed a suite of press ads, promotional posters, and exhibition materials, ensuring clear, accessible communication.
  • Detailed project maps & reports
We developed visually engaging feasibility reports and infographic-rich documents to break down complex information.
  • Marketing & public relations support
Our work extended to media collateral, event signage, and digital assets used in community consultations.
  • Branded templates for ongoing communication
We created a set of Microsoft Office templates, including document, report, and presentation templates, allowing the project team to manage their communications in a professional, polished, and consistent way.

Outcome

The Gippsland Skies project now has a cohesive, visually engaging suite of materials to support community engagement, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and transparency in communications. These assets have been instrumental in fostering trust and building awareness as the project progresses towards development.
