An illustrated project map for the Port of Hastings to support communication around the Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal—a major infrastructure initiative. The map visualises multiple layers of project information, making it easier for the public to understand the scale, context, and benefits of the development.
The project required a clear, engaging visual that could display a wide range of complex information, including project components, development zones, local industries, shipping lanes, and environmental features. The map needed to work in both print and digital formats and be adaptable so different audiences could explore specific aspects of the project story.
A custom illustrated map designed for clarity and flexibility. We created a layered visual that allows individual elements to be isolated or combined, supporting a variety of narratives—from project overviews to focused explanations of local impacts. The final design was also developed into an interactive web map, enabling users to toggle features on and off for a more dynamic experience.
